  • Mutton pieces
  • Onions
  • Ginger-garlic paste
  • Yogurt
  • Red chili powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam masala
  • Coriander powder
  • Cashew nuts
  • Oil
  • Ghee (clarified butter)
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Steps:

  1. Begin by marinating mutton pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and a pinch of salt. Allow them to marinate for at least 2 hours.
  2. Grind cashew nuts into a smooth paste and set it aside.
  3. In a heavy-bottomed pot, heat ghee and oil. Sauté finely chopped onions until they turn golden brown.
  4. Add the marinated mutton and cook until it's browned and sealed.
  5. Stir in the cashew nut paste and cook for a few minutes.
  6. Add water to cover the mutton and simmer until the mutton is tender and the sauce thickens.
